Droitwich in Bloom workshops to brighten up school summer holidays in August

Droitwich Editorial 31st Jul, 2023 Updated: 2nd Aug, 2023   0

DROITWICH town centre is the blooming place to be this summer holiday as the region hosts arts and crafts flower making workshops for children and families every week in August.

The free Droitwich in Bloom activity workshops will be held between the Droitwich Spa Heritage Centre and Flowers of Elegance on Gurneys Lane.

On August 3, there will be paper or fabric flower bouquet workshops at the Heritage Centre before Flowers of Elegance host a day of flower crown making on August 10.

Children and families will then enjoy flower painting and collage workshops on August 17 at the Heritage Centre followed by flower sun printing at Flowers of Elegance on August 24.

The family fun activities will conclude on August 29 with an autumn wreath making workshop at the Heritage Centre.

In between workshops at the Heritage Centre, children can decorate a plant pot and sow a seed throughout the holidays for £1.

On each date there will be three workshops from 11am to 12pm, 12.30pm to 1.30pm and 2pm to 3pm.

The workshops support the Droitwich in Bloom trail which features eight floral creations, each with their own theme, for visitors to hunt out and enjoy.  The trail runs until 1 September 2023.

People can drop-in anytime during the sessions, so there is no need to book.
