THE last meeting of the Inner Wheel Club of Droitwich Spa saw President Glenys Griffiss welcomed everyone to the meeting with a special welcome to District Chairman Pamela Griffith.
Pamela lit the candle of friendship and went on to induct a new member Marlene Chambers.
Before the business meeting began there was a surprise presentation of a large cake and a bouquet of flowers to Margaret Wilkie who had been a member of Droitwich Spa Inner Wheel for 57 years.
It was reported the Macmillan Coffee Morning had raised £240 and the Jumble Sale £100.
Members had volunteered to sell poppies for the appeal organised by Rotarian President Mel Bates.
A Ploughman’s Lunch was also held at Rotary House on November 2 to raise funds for the Worcestershire Young Carers.
District Chairman Pamela praised the fund-raising efforts of the club.
Her two charities for the year were Dogs for Good and Burnaid.
She described the work of her charities and President Glenys was pleased to donate the club’s cheque towards her appeal.
