AS MAYOR of Droitwich I have met many people, all of whom have shown me nothing but warmth and kindness.
Droitwich is a wonderful town, full of people who willing to give up their time to make this place great!
The festivals in Droitwich are always well-attended even in poor weather, and the Remembrance service was amazing with 129 wreaths laid.
It was attended by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, the Queen’s representative in the county. She said after the service she was very impressed with our town and its people.
So Droitwich I think we all deserve a great big pat on the back, don’t you?
My engagements have been wide and varied, but one stands out for me – handing out the awards to the children who completed the Summer Reading Challenge at the library.
It was great to see young girls and boys enjoying reading books.
Long may that continue!
To finish I would like to wish you all a merry Christmas and have a great new year!
Coun Chris Bowden
Mayor of Droitwich Spa
