Droitwich, Kidderminster and Stourport Specsavers in fundraising battle

Droitwich Editorial 14th Feb, 2026   0

SPECSAVERS opticians in Droitwich, Kidderminster and Stourport are holding a year-long competition throughout this year to raise funds for good causes.

The 2026 charity showdown will support four causes – Acorns Children’s Hospice, Mind, Pancreatic Cancer UK, and Guide Dogs.

Staff will be raising funds for the four charities both locally and nationally and the contest, which will consist of a series of fun challenges and activities, is also aimed at boosting teamwork.

To encourage everyone to get involved, teams will earn points through events, in-store challenges and customer engagement activities.

One challenge in particular links fundraising directly to customer care.

Every time a team member receives a customer feedback score of 9 or 10 with their name mentioned in the review, £1 will be directly donated to their chosen charity, developing the connection between great service and generosity.

Ahead of the challenge’s launch, director Emma Singh said: “The aim is not only to raise as much money as possible, but also to bring colleagues together, boost morale and make a positive difference to the communities we serve.

‘Throughout 2026, customers can expect to see a range of fundraising activities taking place, with opportunities to get involved and support the charities along the way.”

The four Specsavers taking part are Droitwich, St Andrews Square, Kidderminster, The Swan Centre, Kidderminster Crossley in Sainsbury’s, Carpet Trades Way, and Stourport.
