A DROITWICH man is getting ready to set off to Ukraine to deliver crucial medical supplies, generators and clothes to aid people in the war-torn country.
Martin McCann will begin his 1,929-mile journey to Kherson on Sunday, December 11, and hopes to stay there over Christmas and new year to help those caught up in the conflict.
He aims to fill the gap in volunteers who may be returning home to their families for Christmas while also treating injured animals who may be considered a lesser priority.
In March earlier this year, Martin decided to make his first trip to the country to offer his services.
