Droitwich man's random act of kindness after mess left by teen vandals

RANDOM acts of kindness were the order of the day on Monday morning when former special constable, Martin Leslie offered to clean up the mess left by teenage vandals who threw plaster into a Droitwich resident’s garden.

Martin of Back, who runs Eden Garden and Restoration, offered to clean up the plaster completely free of charge after Amy Ravenhill complained on social media about the damage left by the teenage tearaways.

Amy said she heard them outside when they tripped over some rubbish bins.

Restoring faith in the community, Martin said it was ‘just a normal thing to do.’

It took Martin an hour-and-a-half to clean up the wreck.

He said: “It was quite a mess when I got there with a large area affected so it needed to be treated straightaway.

“I don’t mind helping people out.

“It’s just nice to give something back to the community and see people come together in times of need.”

Martin has been getting a reputation in recent weeks as a community champion – in September, he also bravely pulled a person out of a river.
