NEW Droitwich store Reconnect Hearing was officially opened by Mayor Coun Shaun Best on Tuesday.

It stocks discreet hearing aids and other aural products, such as ear plugs for musicians or those who go shooting. It will soon be offering wax removal, help with tinnitus and other conditions and ear monitoring equipment.

The business is owned by Jason Hogan who has more than a decade of experience in his field, including working as a locum with the NHS, for High Street businesses in Watford and Oxford and with manufacturers.

He has also lectured all over Europe on the subject of hearing aids and this is he 13th year he has had approval from the regulating body the HCPC (Healthcare Professional Council).

Jason told The Standard he had been made to feel welcome in Droitwich since setting up the business and that he had received some great feedback.

“It is a very friendly and lovely town and full of independent shops which is what you want.

“I hope to serve the people of Droitwich as well as they have received me here.”

Coun Best said: “It was a fabulous morning and great to meet Jason and see another new business opening in the town.

“His audiology equipment was very impressive and I wish him all the success with his venture.”
