A DROITWICH mum whose daughter Heidi Rose is on the pathway to an autism diagnosis has launched a crowdfunding campaign for a calm, inclusive, sensory-friendly cafe in the town.
Harley Frost wants to create the Zensory Cafe for all the families with neurodiverdent children in the area after noticing there was nothing else suitable in Droitwich.
The Zensory Cafe will be a warm, welcoming environment with gentle sensory play areas, soft lighting and refreshments for parents and children.

It will be designed especially for neurodiverse families who often find traditional cafes or play spaces overwhelming.
It will enable the children to relax, play and connect without fear of judgement, offering refreshments and understanding in equal measure.
She said: “As a parent, I know how difficult it can be to go out when your child struggles in busy or overwhelming spaces.
“This often means families like ours stay home.
“My goal is to change that by providing a welcoming environment built around calm, connection and community.”

Harley plans to start small with pop-up sensory sessions and community events with a long-term goal of opening a permanent Zensory Cafe in Droitwich.
She is currently raising funds through a GoFundMe page but is also appealing for help with other aspects.
On her wish-list is equipment for the sensory area – lights, textures and toys, a venue to hire for the initial pop-up sessions, help with health and safety and insurance costs and materials for inclusive play and community workshops.
Harley added: “I want to change this reality for other families like ours and even a small contribution will help make a huge difference.
“And, if there is anyone who is struggling please reach out – you are not alone.
“Together, we can build a space where every family feels comfortable and supported.”
