Droitwich mum launches fund-raiser after partner's serious crash hits family's finances

A DROITWICH mother has set up a gofundme after her partner was involved in a motorbike accident which has left him with life changing injuries.

On 26th September Lee Sharp was involved in a horrific motorbike crash as a result of collision with a car.

He has sustained several injuries, including a degloved foot, broken bones, a hole in his foot and damaged toes.

His partner, Hannah Drew said: “Over the next few weeks Lee is undergoing skin and bone grafts, vessel fusion, tissue reconstruction and pinned toes.

“If the skin graft or vessel fusion is rejected by Lee’s body, he will have no choice but to have an amputation.

“Either way, he is going to be classed as disabled from now on, he will never be able to walk properly again.”

Hannah fears that his injuries will affect the family financially.

“Before the accident he worked full time, and now due to the nature of his injuries it looks very likely that he is going to be signed off for the foreseeable future, if not permanently.

“We have 3 girls together, ages 8, 3 and 2, life was a struggle on his full time minimum wage job, now I don’t even want to think about the future.

“His road to recovery is an arduous and extremely painful one and I’m terrified at having to be the one who it all falls on.

“With a household to run, domestic chores, kids to parent and now my partner who I will be caring for, I’m already run ragged and I have no idea how we’re going to afford to live without his income.”

Hannah has set up a gofundme in order to raise money to help her family through this difficult time.

She aims to raise £5,000.
