DROITWICH care home residents and nursery children joined together to celebrate the historic coronation of King Charles III.
Dorset House Nursing Home welcomed youngsters from Blue Giraffe Childcare to celebrate the landmark occasion in the home’s gardens along with families and staff.
Residents and children had a go at icing Coronation biscuits, crafting crowns and planting sunflower seeds.
The Dorset House kitchen team baked plenty of cupcakes and scones for the party to enjoy.
And everyone danced the day away at the ground’s summer house disco.
Dorset House’s lifestyle coordinator Lisa Davies said: “It’s great for the residents to meet new people from our community, and bringing together different generations has such a positive effect on both the children and the residents.
“The children said they had a “super-duper” time. The Coronation is such a significant moment in history which is great for the residents to share with young children, who will hopefully remember long into the future.”
