Droitwich Police explain 'large presence' in Vines Lane

POLICE have moved to explain why there was a large police presence around Vines Lane yesterday morning.

The Standard contacted officers after received calls from residents concerned about what was going on.

But West Mercia Police said the area was being searched as part of the investigation into the death of Desmond Wooding.

We reported last month how Adam Mason, 32, from Plough Lane, Tibberton, denied the murder at Worcester Crown Court on Friday, August 9.

Mark Mason, 55, also from Plough Lane, pleaded not guilty to assisting an offender.

Both men are due to go on trial at the court on December 9 this year.’
