DISCOUNT shop Poundland has announced their Droitwich store will be one of over 150 to receive a ‘major makeover’.
As part of the transformation, stores will get new signage, flooring and lighting while back office colleague areas will be given a revamp to improve the workplace.
More baby and children’s clothing will be on offer in store, with the works set to begin in Droitwich from Saturday, March 16.
Dubbed ‘Project Evo’, the refresh will be the first substantial investment in the majority of the 150 stores for over five years.
Poundland hopes to have all of the refurbishments completed by August 2024.
Director of property services at Poundland, Alan Smallman, said: “Project Evo represents a significant investment in a substantial number of stores to make them brilliant places to shop and work.
“Over the past five years we’ve transformed our offer for customers, adding extensive ranges of clothing, homewares, chilled and frozen food.
“We’re now embarking on a programme that will show off those ranges in a modern and bright environment that’s easy to shop, navigate and checkout.
“We look forward to bringing our best offer to these 150 stores over the coming months.”
Earlier this month Poundland confirmed that it had begun an overhaul of its products to introduce 2,000 new lines across all its 850-plus stores in the UK and Ireland.
