RESIDENTS can have their household items fixed for free at the next Droitwich Repair Cafe at the town’s library in Victoria Square this Saturday (February 25) between 10am and 2pm.
The first one of the year held last month was very busy with some interesting pieces, including a 1950s teddy bear.
The repair cafe can fix a variety of items and, held on the last Saturday of each month, was set up to help people save money, reuse, repair, recycle and keep items out of landfill.
The team are also looking for more volunteers – it does not matter if they are not technically minded as ‘meeters and greeters’ are also needed to welcome people and ‘triage’ their items.
Simon Britton, from the Repair Cafe, said: “As we get busier, we need everyone to get involved in this fantastic community group.”
