Droitwich residents can support Poppy Appeal by buying WWI book

Droitwich Editorial 5th Nov, 2014 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

DROITWICH residents can support this year’s Poppy Appeal by buying a book of poetry done by Spa schoolchildren about the First World War.

The WWI Commemorative Poetry Book has contributions from several schools including Chawson First, Witton and Westacre Middle and Droitwich High School.

Steven Moore, the branch chairman of the Droitwich Royal British Legion, said he was very proud of the creation and the contributions made by local schools.

The poems can also be seen on the first floor of Droitwich Library and the books are for sale at St Richard’s House in the Tourist Information Centre.

Those who can stock copies and support sales should email Coun Richard Morris at [email protected] about the scheme.
