Droitwich residents could win cash for having say on family support services

Droitwich Editorial 25th Feb, 2023   0

DROITWICH parents, carers, children and young people are being encouraged to have their say on what help and services they need.

The Worcestershire Early Help Partnership want residents to fill out an anonymous survey which will help influence and inform how partner agencies support families in their community, bringing together the creation of Family Hubs.

Help is currently provided through face-to-face support as well as through clinics at libraries, children’s centres, youth centres and schools, virtually or over the phone.

Family Hubs aim to bring these services together to change local family help and support.

It will also help provide joined-up help, support and services to children, young people, parents and carers from pregnancy through to 19 years old, or 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

Worcestershire County Councils’ cabinet member for children and families, Coun Andy Roberts said: “Raising families amid other challenges is far from easy.

“We must ensure we are providing the right services for families and young people, both now and in the future.

“We need people who use these services to tell us what they like, what we could do better and what they would like to see delivered, not just for their families but for future generations too.”

And those who complete the Family Hub Consultation will be able to enter a free prize draw to win one of four £50 supermarket shopping vouchers.

The consultation closes at midnight on Sunday, April 30.

Visit https://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/familyhub for more information and to fill out the survey.
