Droitwich residents invited to take advantage of free fitness classes

DROITWICH residents have been invited to take advantage of six weeks of free fitness classes.

The ‘Get Wychavon Active’ scheme, being ran by Fortis Living, will offer ten sessions a week at the Westlands Community Centre or Studio 2 at Physique Gym.

The classes will run in two programmes of six weeks and include yoga, pilates and boxfit.

The sessions, funded by the National Lottery after funding was made available by Wychavon District Council, are being ran in conjunction with fitness expert Julie Liggings from Studio 2 and yoga instructor Fiona Barrett from Duke Yoga.

Caroline Winnall, Fortis Living’s health and well being coordinator, said: “This extra funding means we can open up the classes to everyone and reach a wider audience.

“The scheme can also support local businesses by employing them to run the fitness classes.”

People who want to continue after the free classes have ended will receive a discounted rate.

Visit the Fortis Lifestyle Facebook or contact Caroline Winnall on 01905 823113 for more.
