THE MAYOR of Droitwich Spa has urged residents with any issues about the town to get in touch with their local councillors.
Coun Shaun Best spoke to The Standard after the annual town meeting on Monday.
A number of concerns were raised at the get-together including flooding in the underpass at the Highfield Island, lighting on footpaths, parking, overgrown foliage near the Chateau Impney forcing cyclists into the middle of the road and a crossing being needed by the BP garage which houses the M&S.
Those points have been taken up by councillors and Coun Best said there would be numerous other residents who could not make Monday’s meeting who also need issues addressing.
“People should feel free to get in touch with their local town councillor or come to the Council House, Victoria Square.
“We will help where we can and if we can’t, we will point them in the right direction.”
