Droitwich residents warned about new bin collection times starting this week

Droitwich Editorial 14th Oct, 2018   0

ALMOST three-quarters of Wychavon residents will have their bin collection day changed from tomorrow (Monday), writes Lauren Tiller.

Wychavon District Council is warning people to read up on the information to ensure they put their bins out on the right day.

The council says 70 per cent of people will see a change to their collection day or time and 40 per cent will need to change which bin they put out from October 15.

Coun Emma Stokes said: “Although these changes may present short-term inconvenience, we’re doing all we can to ensure they’re as pain-free as possible.”

Residents are being told to look out for letters detailing the changes to the collections which are necessary due to a recent increase in the number of houses and because of changes to the way waste is disposed.
