DROITWICH Rugby Club is inviting families to come to its Wych Fest event next Saturday, August 24.

With live bands, outdoor bars, a children’s fun zone and food available there will be something for everyone, says organiser and club vice-chairman Craig Browne.

“Our rugby tournament will be kicking off at 1pm, around the time we open, and live international rugby will be on the big screen for guests to enjoy.

“We are really lucky to have such good support from the Droitwich community, with local bands performing from 5pm onwards in our outdoor marquee.”

Headliners ‘Definitely Britpop’ will have people on their feet with their pick of the best tunes from the 1990s.

They will be supported by Ellishia Green, Ewan Pollock and Kringo Blue who will play well into the night.

Craig added: “The club is a non-profit organisati

on so we could really do with the public’s support to help us with the upkeep of our facilities.

“This year we need to purchase new lightning which is set to be a big bill, so any support is greatly appreciated.”

Tickets for the event, which cost £2 each, can be bought from the rugby club or The Talbot pub on Droitwich High Street.
