SHOPPERS can get into the festive spirit and pick up some unique gifts when a three-day Community Christmas Market takes place at Droitwich Rugby Club next weekend.
The event, organised by the club in connection with LSD Promotions and MSG Risk Management, runs from 5pm to 9pm next Friday, midday to 8pm next Saturday and between 1pm and 5pm on the Sunday, December 18, 19 and 20.
More than 25 local businesses will have stalls selling everything from scented soaps to flavoured fudge.
Risk assessments have been carried out in conjunction with Wychavon District Council and Worcestershire Regulatory Services and the market has been supported by local councillors and businesses with Nicol and Co the main sponsor.
Craig Browne, the club’s vice chairman, said: “It has been a tough few months for local businesses and we wanted to do what we could to help them out. “We are lucky to have ample ventilated outdoor space, so an outdoor market seemed the perfect option.”
Admission is free but pre-booking is essential and strict social distancing will be in place at all times.
