Former Droitwich student to release her first album

A FORMER Droitwich Spa High School student is set to release her first album after finding musical success at just 16 years old.

Lauren Nicole’s nine-track album ‘Tough Love’, which will be available on March 30, mixes pop and dance and features five songs which were played by BBC Introducing, three of which became ‘Track of the Week’.

At 16 years old, Lauren’s last EP ‘Prada Shoes’ reached number 15 in the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Charts, with the new album making it to the final of two international song writing competition.

After leaving the high school, Lauren moved to Guildford to study at the Academy of Contemporary music where she has been busy recording and writing in collaboration with DJs and producers such as Ben Stancombe, Sam Lucas, DJ Hadron, Thomas Moulard and David Fisher.




Whilst working on her album, Lauren has also been busy writing and pitching songs through publishing companies to other major artists and labels worldwide, including the USA, Korea, Norway and the Netherlands.

She has also been gigging continuously, playing such prestigious venues as Dingwalls in London and the NEC in Birmingham, while continuing to play regularly in her home town of Droitwich.


Lauren said: “I hope people will download and enjoy my first full length album.

“I am very proud of it and think it shows how I have progressed and diversified as a performer and writer.

“It’s still very much a pop album but there are some songs here that do move more towards Dance so there is something for everyone.”

The album will be available on iTunes, Apple music, Spotify and other platforms on the at 6pm on March 30.
