TWO Slimming world groups in Droitwich have used their diets to help good causes by donating their now over-sized clothes to Cancer Research.
The donations from the Droitwich branch have generated £700 for the charity as part of the ‘Big Golden Slimming World Clothes Throw’.
The scheme was set up to raise awareness of how keeping a healthy weight could reduce the risk of cancer.
The Droitwich Slimming World groups meet on from 5.15pm to 7.15pm on a Wednesday at Witton Middle School and from 8.45am to 10.45am on a Saturday.
The clothes throw partnership began 2013, and has raised around £12million throughout the UK since then.
Peggy Sowerby, who runs the two Droitwich Slimming World Groups, said: “I’m so proud of my members, who really put their heart into everything they do.
“Whether its their own weight loss journey, supporting each other each week or raising money for charity they continually blow me away.”
