Droitwich Spa Forum for Older People enjoy a Macmillan Coffee Morning at Muffin Break

A COFFEE morning organised by the Droitwich Spa Forum for Older People (DSFOP) was held at the town’s Muffin Break, raising £135.

Sheila Neary from DSFOP who helped organise the event said: “We want to say thank you to everyone for the support and to the staff who were wonderful and kept busy all morning.”

Groups and organisations across Bromsgrove, Rubery and Droitwich have been busy raising money by hosting their own Macmillan Coffee Mornings.

Each year the charity encourages communities to get together and raise funds for people who have or are affected by cancer.

The ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ also provides people with an opportunity to catch up over a warm drink and a slice of cake.

More than £200million has been raised since the scheme was first introduced during the 1990s.
