DROITWICH pupils who designed their school’s new Rugby shirts are expecting an exciting package through the post from an official kit supplier.
Youngsters from Droitwich Spa High School and Sixth Form Centre took part in a special workshop ran by the Rugby Football Union in partnership with the Rugby Football Foundation.
During the event students learnt about the history, heritage, values and importance of the rugby shirts before they were given the chance to design their own for their school’s team.
The winning design will now be produced and donated by Canterbury, the official kit supplier to England Rugby and the Official Partner to All Schools.
Stuart Lancaster, England head coach, said: “The match shirt is a source of huge pride for the players.
“By teaching these pupils who are new to the game the core values of rugby union and the history of the shirt, I’m sure these school teams will share the same passion for their own design.”
