STAFF at the BMI Droitwich Spa Hospital have been working hard over the last months to gather supplies to donate to the local foodbank, writes Cameron Hill.
Donations were plentiful and ranged from tinned goods, and festive treats, to toiletries, and dog food – all with the goal of improving the lives of those less fortunate over Christmas.
Volunteers at the foodbank were thrilled with the total donation, weighing in at a whopping 198kg – more than two baby elephants.
Jenny Liggitt, executive director at the BMI Droitwich Spa Hospital said: “I was so proud of the amount we managed to collect for the Droitwich Foodbank this year.
“It’s definitely a very worthy cause and staff at the hospital have really excelled with their donations this year, doubling our total from last year.”
