DROITWICH Spa Litter Squad were recognised for their efforts when they were presented with a prestigious award at SaltFest.
The inaugural Droitwich Community Champion was presented to Clive Shearman, who leads the group that tidies the town’s highways and byways most weekends.
The accolade was created by SaltFest, in conjunction with the Droitwich Standard.
On the main stage, Clive spoke about the work undertaken by the litter squad and how people could get in touch if they wanted to join or find out more.
Afterwards he said: “It was fantastic for the group and is great recognition for the role we play in the community.
“We do get thanked on Facebook and in person but to receive this award is absolutely brilliant.”
