Droitwich Spa Meeting Centre needs your votes to help win funding

Droitwich Editorial 4th Nov, 2018   0

DROITWICH Spa Meeting Centre which helps people suffering with dementia is relying on people’s votes to help win funding.

A high number of votes will increase the Centre’s chances of being selected for the Aviva Community Fund which offers up to £25,000 to improve local services.

Trustee at Droitwich Spa Meeting Centre, Mike Watts, said: “If we win the money will go towards ensuring the Centre can continue to provide a meeting place for up to 20 people on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the Droitwich Spa Rugby Club.

“Services or projects with the most votes will become finalists, so everyone’s support is vital.”

The centre opened in September 2015 and is a local club for people living with mild to moderate dementia and for their families who have been affected too.

It offers a warm and accepting atmosphere where people can re-build and relax.

You can have your say by heading to www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/voting/project/view/4-323 to cast your vote before the November 20 deadline.
