A TOTAL of £385 was raised for the Salwarpe-based SB Danceworks, thanks to a bake sale held by Droitwich’s Specsavers.

The fundraiser took place at the store in Salters Shopping Centre, where a selection of cakes were available in return for a donation to SB Danceworks.

The cash raised will be used by the group to take its dancers to Disneyland Paris in 2025, where they will be performing to an international audience.

Emma Singh, Droitwich Specsavers’ store director, said: “We were blown away by the generosity shown at our bake sale.

“Thank you to everyone who made a donation – we’re so pleased we could support such a fantastic cause and spread a bit of joy to the dancers at SB Danceworks.

“It was great to welcome some of the dancers to the store on the day and we hope the money will help towards their trip to France next year.”

SB Danceworks is a professional dance school providing quality dance and drama training to children from aged three up to adults.

They are members of the International Dance Teachers Association and offer examinations and an annual dance show for all students.”

Alongside the school in Droitwich, Worcestershire there is an additional branch in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
