Droitwich Specsavers calling for food bank donations

Droitwich Editorial 26th May, 2023   0

DROITWICH Specsavers is calling for customers to donate to the local food bank to help ease the strain the ongoing cost-of-living crisis is putting on the service, writes Poppy Chambers.

The Salters shopping centre store is collecting items such as tinned meat and fish, biscuits and jars of coffee for the foodbank to ensure that families with children will have access to food during the summer holiday.

Shopper and customer donations will then be distributed to the food bank by Specsavers.

Specsavers’ in-store team have got behind the cause, donating their own items to the food bank.

Specsavers Droitwich store director Emma Singh said: “We’re always bowled over by the support we get from our customers and the wider community in response to appeals like this, and we have no doubt that if people can, they will make a donation.”
