Droitwich Specsavers has its sights on helping town's foodbank

THE DROITWICH branch of Specsavers is appealing to people to donate items for the town’s foodbank.

A supermarket trolley has been set up outside the store in Salters Shopping Centre where foods can be dropped off.

The opticians has been a long-time supporter of the Droitwich Spa Foodbank and, with the ongoing impact of the pandemic, the team was keen to once again help local families in need.

Store director Emma Singh said: “We’ve always been so impressed with the generosity of residents who have donated food in the past.

“If you can donate anything at all, it will make all the difference to local families who are in crisis and might otherwise go without.”

The team, which has also been making donations, said it was hugely grateful for all the items dropped off.
