A DROITWICH opticians is collecting non-perishable items and emergency food supplies for the local Droitwich Spa Foodbank this month.
The Specsavers store, located in St. Andrew’s Square, is encouraging its customers to donate tins and jars of food, and other long-life foodstuffs, as well as toiletries and essential household items, to help provide food and home parcels to local people in desperate need.
Store director and optometrist Emma Singh, said: “The foodbank initiative is something that we take part in every year.
“It’s really important to recognise that there are so many people in our community who struggle to provide for themselves and their families.
“As a local business, it’s our responsibility to help as much as we can.”
The store’s previous collection created a donation total of more than 130kg.
