Droitwich supermarket causing a stir over label printing mishap

Droitwich Editorial 23rd Nov, 2022   0

ONE supermarket in Droitwich is causing quite the stir with the latest reduction of one of its alcoholic drinks.

Morrisons has reduced the price of their Jack Daniels from £17 to £16.99, and shoppers have mixed emotions with the new price.

One shopper said: “Just want to thank Morrisons for such a fantastic reduction of one pence on their Jack Daniels! What a joke!”

Many shoppers highlighted how it would have cost Morrisons more to print the sign and get a member of staff to change the ticket than to lower the price.

While other shoppers tried to see the lighter side of the new deal.

“When most items are going up by leaps and bounds, any reduction should be applauded,” one optimistic shopper said. “Better than 10p the other way.”

Another added: “Buy 1700 and get one free.”

A Morrisons Spokesperson said the label was printed incorrectly.
