Droitwich Swish event raises funds for vulnerable

Droitwich Editorial 18th Jul, 2014 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

MORE than £700 was raised for the Onside charity thanks to a swish event in Droitwich.

Over 70 women, who all love clothes, a good chat, a glass of bubbly and a few nibbles, went along to the social gathering held at St Andrews House Hotel.

They exchanged clothing and accessories that they no longer wore to boost their wardrobes.

Kate Harvey, the chief executive of Onside, said: “Thank you to everyone who took part and we will certainly repeat this event as everyone had great fun, refreshed their wardrobe and helped us to raise vital funds.

“£700 will help us to provide free and independent mentoring, advocacy and peer support to those in need, enabling the most vulnerable people in our community to live better lives.”

Onside supports vulnerable and disadvantaged people in the country and helps them to lead better lives.
