Droitwich table tennis club scoop multiple trophies

A DROITWICH based table tennis club is celebrating a successful 2024 after securing 11 award wins in its local sporting league.

Droitwich Spa Community Table Tennis Club has proved to have a prosperous season in the Bromsgrove and Redditch District Table Tennis Association League.

In the team events, Droitwich Spa Sharks secured the Clement Brothers Cup while Droitwich Spa Lions claimed the Albert Kibbler Handicap Cup

Droitwich Spa Dons were crowned division two champions and winners of the Field and Son Cup.

For the individual accolades, Adam Anderson scooped the junior singles championship and Daniel Evans was named the most improved junior in the Don Evans Cup.

Three members claimed runner up trophies too. Mark Fiddian was runner up in the veteran singles championship, Tom Meredith finished second in junior singles championship and lastly, Adam




Anderson finished runner up in the handicap championship.

Other awards were given to welfare officer, Harriet Anderson for her contrituion in running the annual novice competition and club chairman, Eliot Brandwood was honoured to receive a long service award for his contributions to the BRDTTA League.


The club hosts its sessions from 7pm to 9pm every Thursday at RGS Dodderhill, Crutch Lane, Droitwich Spa.
