Droitwich Town Council disappointed Fortis hasn't been back with parking plan for Pridzor Close

MEMBERS of Droitwich Town Council expressed disappointment at the authority’s last meeting that there had been no news about an increase in the number of parking spaces for the development on Pridzor Close.

Two affordable bungalows are due to be built on land off the road which currently houses nine derelict garages.

The demolition would mean a loss of 16 parking spaces and, as we reported back in October, a meeting between residents and one of Fortis Housing’s architects led to hopes that space for 14 new parking spaces could be created as part of the development.

But, at the last town council meeting, Coun Bob Brookes and others said Fortis had not been in touch with an update, even though it had been over three months.

A spokesperson for Fortis Living said: “We are considering the options open to us regarding additional parking at Pridzor Road and this remains ongoing.”
