THE TENTH anniversary of Droitwich Spa and District U3A will be held at 2pm next Monday, October 3.
Everyone is welcome to Droitwich Spa Community Hall, Heritage Way, for the open day which will shed light on the activities the group offers and some not currently undertaken as a group but could be with sufficient interest.
The U3A is open for all those who are no longer working – the friendly organisation is all about enjoying life to the full whilst learning, laughing and living with like-minded people in their third age.
Among the activities on offer are modern languages, singing for pleasure, painting, willow weaving, genealogy, pentanque, classical music appreciation, Samba drumming, photography, jewellery making, card games, classic poetry and literature, town trails, cake making competitions, geocaching and modern board games.
The event was due to take place in July but was postponed because of the heatwave.
