RESIDENTS across Droitwich have been urged to take part in the Primrose Hospice and Family Support Centre’s Yellow Week.
The event, which this year will run from June 5 to 11, is aimed at celebrating and promoting the care and support the charity provides to the local community.
Schools, workplaces, churches and other community groups are urged to help raise awareness of the Primrose Hospice and organise some yellow-themed fund-raising activities.
Anyone can get involved with Yellow Week by asking friends, family, their school or work colleagues to join them.
Suggestions for activities include wearing yellow socks, having a yellow custard bath, hosting a yellow cake and coffee morning or any other event people can think of.
Lucy Perkins, the Primrose Hospice’s fund-raiser and event organiser, said: “We are really excited to be holding ‘Yellow Week’ again this year, and look forward to inviting the whole community to celebrate with us the great services we continue to provide here at Primrose Hospice.
“This is a really fun campaign which enables everyone to get involved, whether you choose to wear yellow, bake yellow or even sing yellow, we love hearing about your fundraising ideas and share in the fun with all our supporters.”
People are also asked to make sure they get in touch with the Primrose Hospice to let the charity know what they are doing to fund-raise and to see how it can help support with the activity.
