THE SEARCH has begun to find talented school pupils in Droitwich who have ‘The W Factor’.

The W Factor, organised by Wychavon District Council, is seeking skilled young people with a passion for dance, drama, singing, music or comedy.

Participants, aged between 11 and 18, can audition at Droitwich Spa High School from 5.30pm on Tuesday, November 19.

Selected finalists will perform at the Number 8 Arts Centre in Pershore on February 10 next year.

The final in 2019 saw 11 young people from across Wychavon compete across several categories in front of family and friends.

Winners will receive training from professional artists to help them develop their talents and be invited by the council to perform at local events throughout the summer of 2020.

Tracy Grubb, Wychavon District Council’s community development officer, said: “It’s a privilege to bring back The W Factor.

“Over the years the competition has been brilliant for developing young artists but it also helps those taking part to develop their confidence and build strong personalities.”

To apply visit www.wychavon.gov.uk/w-factor or call Tracy Grubb on 01386 565168.
