ACORNS Children’s Hospice Shop in Droitwich reopened on Wednesday after doubling in size, writes Ryan Smith.

The extension is particularly fitting for the shop which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year.

The work allows the charity shop in St Andrews Street to add a new furniture and homeware range to its stock.

This store is one of 50 Acorns shops in high streets across the region, raising around £10million per year to provide care and support for children with life threatening or limiting illnesses.

Cherry Bromhead, the charity’s retail area manager , said: “It’s a double celebration for us.

“We are excited to unveil our bigger, better Droitwich shop and showcase the range of quality, pre-loved furniture and homeware that has already been kindly donated to us by the public.

“Thank you to all of our loyal customers for supporting us over the last decade.”

Head of retail for Acorns Val Hammond, added: “This is an exciting new direction for our Droitwich shop, giving shoppers more choice but the same great value for money.

“Please come and enjoy some brilliant bargains and help us continue our work caring for children and families.”
