THIS YEAR’S Chateau Impney Hill Climb raised more than £2,700 for the Caudwell Children charity which supports disabled children and their families, writes Cameron Mowat.
A full programme of classic car racing took place in the grounds of Droitwich’s majestic Louis XIII-style chateau.
Over 200 pre-1967 competed this year in various races, with 1960s F1 cars and World Rally Championship models on display.
Over 20,000 spectators were present at the event.
Sam Walker from Caudwell Children said: “It was an unbelievable event that was supported by an enthusiastic crowd who experienced a great day out.
“Chateau Impney gave us the opportunity to have a highly visible presence at the event.
“There was something for everyone and spectators were generous in donations.
“The money raised will help us to continue providing support that disabled children need for a happy life.”
