DROITWICH’S Churchfields Ice Cream will be featuring on the TV show Farmers’ Country Showdown on BBC One at 3.45pm this afternoon (Tuesday).
A crew from the show went along to the Salwarpe-based company last summer to interview staff there and film the production process over two-and-a-half days – from the milking of the cows to the freezing of the ice cream.
The team then accompanied the staff to Ludlow Food Festival and followed them around on the day as they sold their product.
Gillian Kerton, who runs Churchfields with her parents, said: “The weather wasn’t that warm on the day but we still had lots of ice cream fans buying our products.
“It was a lot of fun.”
Farmers’ Country Showdown is also available at bbc.co.uk/iplayer – the BBC’s catch-up service.
