DROITWICH’S Covid 19 memorial bench will be installed in the garden outside St Richard’s House.
The bench will feature a plaque with an inscription to remember all those who lost their lives to Covid and to highlight the efforts of key workers during the pandemic.
The wording is being agreed with Coun Alan Humphries who put forward the suggestion for the bench.
Three areas were earmarked including Spring Meadow, Copcut Park and the garden outside St Richard’s House.
Standard readers were urged to contact the council about which one they would prefer and the St Richard’s House garden was the unanimous choice.
The contractors have been sourced to acquire a suitable bench and it will be anchored in the coming weeks.
