STAFF and children at Droitwich’s First Quest nursery are celebrating after winning an SME Midlands enterprise award.
The Best for Early Years Care and Education accolade – Worcester area – comes four years after its launch.
Director Denise Phelps said “We are extremely pleased and proud to have won this award, we feel it is well deserved by our staff team who work tirelessly to ensure the children in our care not only reach the expected goals but go well beyond expectations.”
The nursery, part of QEST Ltd – the Quality Extended Schools Team – was designed to have large, light rooms, plenty of space for children to play in and an extensive outdoor area.
It also has an extremely popular and successful breakfast and after-school club at Stoke Prior First School, Bromsgrove that first opened in 2004
Manager Claire Glacken added: “The outside space is amazing, we have an allotment where the children have grown vegetables that they harvested and made into soups and salads.
“We have an adventure playground where the children use their imagination to create amazing role play games such as pirates and the seaside.
“We have a wonderful woodland with a mud kitchen, outside classroom and bug hotel.
“We are outside everyday in all weathers enhancing our learning and the children love it.”
