A DROITWICH pub has taken on two trainee chefs to give them a foot on the ladder of the hospitality industry.
Kye Poole and Shannon Skeffington both applied for the post at the Gardners Arms and landlord Simon Berry was that impressed he took them both on.
Mr Berry said: ” At The Gardeners Arms we believe that training is of a importance to bring on the talents of trainees.
“Both are proving to be extremely creative and dedicated to achieving a high standard of food preparation, cooking and dish presentation.
“Their abilities to have such understanding qualities in such a short space of time shall benefit them both in their pursuit of their career.”
From September both Kye and Shannon will attend the Heart of Worcestershire College catering course.
“The college provides an extremely high level of education, combining the catering course elements and the practical side of working in a commercial kitchen.”
