DROITWICH’S Kazoku-Kan Judo Club has teamed up with the Worcestershire Homeless appeal to help those living on the streets stay warm this winter.
The club is asking for donation of hats, coats, gloves, jumpers, thermals and sleeping bags.
A spokesperson for the club said they had already received a couple of donations but the more donated the warmer the homeless would be.
Students will also be wrapping up and stepping out to support the cause and hand out items during an evening in December.
“They will gain an understanding of what it’s like to be on the streets instead of the warm homes most of us take for granted,” added the spokesperson.
The Worcestershire homeless appeal is the club’s chosen charity this year and would like to be able to give them as much support as possible.
Items can be dropped off at the club to Kazoku-Kan’s base at Unit 2, West Bank, on Droitwich’s Berry Hill Industrial Estate, on a Wednesday or Friday evening from 7pm.
Alternatively, email [email protected] for more information and to offer support.
