Droitwich's Mini Explorers enjoy their very own Pirate Party

Droitwich Editorial 12th Mar, 2019   0

YOUNGSTERS from Droitwich’s Mini Explorers Nature Nursery had a swashbuckling time when staff put on a Pirate Party.

Each week at the nursery a letter is chosen which all the activities are based around and last week was the letter ‘P’.

The boys and girls did not disappoint with the fancy dress and they all gave each other pirate names at the start of the day, including Billy Blackbeard and Captain Lady.

The day had lots of pirate-themed activities and included using crates and wooden beams to build a boat and ‘walk the plank’.

The children also designed treasure maps, embarked on a treasure hunt and carried out role play in the sandpit boat.

Mini Explorers is unique in that it is outdoors-based and is aimed at teaching children through nature and the natural environment in the nursery’s dedicated woodland area.

There are spaces available for children aged two and upwards.
