Droitwich's Mini Explorers keeping busy during the lockdown

FAMILIES whose children attend Droitwich’s Mini Explorers Nursery have been getting creative during the COVID-19 lockdown.

One family has written their own song all about the nursery and a video has been created of the children singing it and dancing to ‘Happy’ to make each other smile during the quarantine hours.

Scarecrows have also been made by children and their parents to put outside their house.

Among them were a ‘Mini Explorer’ and this one (pictured above) by Freddie Critchlow pays tribute to the NHS and depicts a physiotherapist – the job his mum does.

Other activities have included, an Easter Dance Competition, online storytimes and a ‘clap for our children’ to show appreciation of how children are coping during what are frightening times.

Families have also shared photographs of things they have created.

Mini Explorers is an outdoors-based ‘nature nursery’, aimed at teaching children through the environment around them.
