DROITWICH’S new £550,000 splash pad has opened in time for the school holidays.
The new-look area, which will open from 10am to 6pm each day, is part of the Lido’s expansion and moved from the outdoor saltwater pool to a new site near the tennis courts.
The previous water play area opened in 2011 but in recent years frequently broke down and was costly to repair.
During the Easter break, there will be ‘Splash Hours’ featuring inflatables, floats, rubber rings, music and plenty of water fun.
The next sessions are from 1pm to 2pm today (Good Friday), between 2pm and 3pm tomorrow and Easter Sunday, April 4 and 5 and from 1pm to 2pm everyday from bank holiday Monday to next Friday.
All Splash Hour sessions are £5.80 for both children and adults.
