DROITWICH’S hotly anticipated improv workshop is just around the corner.

The newly formed Whose Brine Is It Anyway? improv group will be hosting its first comedy workshop from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, June 22 at The Old Library Centre, Droitwich.

Led by Birmingham based improv coach and legend of the craft, Jon Trevor, the workshop is being described as a ‘rare opportunity to learn from one of the very best’ improv coaches in the Midlands.

The workshop will separated into three separate occasions – All Day Improv, All Day Play, and Community Atmosphere.

Participants will learn from experienced improvisers to hone their skills in a supportive and fun environment, partake in improv games and exercises, and meet and mingle with fellow enthusiasts, performers, and comedy fans.

“We’re thrilled to bring improv to Droitwich,” said Simon Britton, principal of the improv group.

“Improv comedy is all about spontaneity, creativity, and connection, and this event embodies all those elements. Whether you’re an aspiring improviser or just looking for a good laugh, this is an event you won’t want to miss.”

Whose Brine Is It Anyway? was formed in Droitwich in April 2024 to bring together anyone interested in learning and improving their improvisational comedy skills.

The group are working alongside The Norbury Theatre in Droitwich to establish a team of improv comedians, with the aim of performing live at the local Rik Mayall Comedy Festival in 2025.

Their name is a tribute to the classic TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway? featuring top improvisers and comics doing short-form sketches. Brine is a play on words which honours Droitwich’s heritage as a Spa town.

All are welcome to join the group. Booking is essential.
