A DROITWICH church is holding ‘The Way of the Cross….a Lenten Journey to Calvary’ in the run up to Easter.
The display, also known a Stations of the Cross, features 14 images and prayers focusing on specific events – starting with Jesus’ condemnation and ending with the laying in the tomb.
This year Droitwich’s Sacred Heart Church, Worcester Road, has a Way of the Cross around the outside of the building with each station having an image relating to Jesus’ hourney.
There will also be leaflets to guide people around the route.
Anyone and everyone, is welcome to come and walk the Way at anytime, individually or in a group.
There will be a group Way every Friday morning at 9.45am led by parishioners, which is open to all.
In the event of bad weather it will take place inside the church.
Lent began on Ash Wednesday, February 14, and runs until Easter Sunday, March 31.
